"One out of every three blind people in the world lives in India - an estimated 15 million Indians are blind with an additional 52 million visually impaired. Every year, 3 million Indians develop cataracts which gradually lead to blindness if left untreated. There are also 2 million blind children in India. Only 5% of them receive any education.
A staggering 80% of these cases are curable if diagnosed and treated early and if adequate facilities and trained staff are available. I knew from the very beginning this was my calling and decided to establish envision with all the latest diagnostic and surgical equipment as well as a one window service for all eye conditions".

Dr Sathe is a renowned eye surgeon from Pune. After doing her bachelors from GMC, Miraj she completed her DNB (Diplomat of National Board, Delhi) and residency from the prestigious Shree Ganapati Netralaya, Jalna, which is the largest super-speciality eye-institute in the state of Maharashtra. She has performed over 1500 surgeries so far in all the sub-specialties of ophthalmology.
She performs Cataract surgery by phacoemulsification with foldable/multifocal IOL implantation, even under topical anaesthesia. Her experience includes stop and chop, direct chop, small pupil and other complicated/difficult cases.
Her special interests lie in eye care for children and crossed eyes treatment. She also completed super-specialization in India and at the Moorfield’s Eye Hospital, London where she got exposure to the global best practices in Ophthalmology.
Dr Sathe holds life memberships of the All India Ophthalmic Society (AIOS), Delhi and Poona Ophthalmic Societies (DOS and POS) and the Indian Medical Association (IMA). She has worked with KK Eye Hospital, Pune and YCM Hospital, Pimpri as Consultant Eye Surgeon.
